Small Animal Services

Annual Physicals and Vaccinations: We offer complete vaccination services as required by local government and recommended by our doctors. You can drop off your pet, if needed, so we can take care of your pet's needs and have them ready to go. Discounted vaccination programs are offered for new puppies and kittens that include 10% off of spaying or neutering!

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide excellent diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Laboratory:  Our laboratory facilities provide for hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. If you need something mailed or delivered, just let us know!

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. We offer gas anesthesia and continuously monitor the patient's vital signs during all anesthetic procedures.

Dentistry:  Dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, and tooth extractions when necessary. Our new, highly efficient, all-in-one portable dental unit allows us to perform everything from routine to advanced dental cleanings quickly and easily.

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. Our doctors are experienced in performing surgeries from routine spays, neuters, and declaws to more specialized operations such as caesarean sections, orthopedic surgeries, tumor removals, and more. Included in our procedure is pre-surgical blood work to ensure that the animal is a good candidate for anesthesia. If the results are normal, we administer pain medication before the procedure so the pain relief is working while the animal wakes up. Pain medication is also sent home with the pet if appropriate.

Microchipping: Placing a microchip is as easy as getting a simple injection. The chip itself is about the size of a grain of rice, and it provides a form of identification your pet will never lose. It is not a tracking device, but it can be the difference between a pet who makes it home and one who doesn’t.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of potential fractures and other medical conditions.

Ultrasound: Our on-site ultrasound allows us to visualize muscles, tendons, and many internal organs, to capture their size, structure, and any pathological lesions with real time images.

Video Otoscope: Present in two of our exam rooms, video otoscope allows us to have a magnified view of your pets ear, as well as allowing you to see what we see!

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing and nail trimming services are available Monday through Friday.

Grooming:  We are fortunate to have Heidi Smith as our full time groomer. Heidi has been grooming dogs and cats for sevaeral years. Grooms include a bath, haircut, ear cleaning, nail trim, and anal gland expression. Bandanas or bows are included at no extra charge. Give us a call to schedule your pets "day at the spa" with Heidi.

Boarding:  We offer separate dog and cat boarding facilites for the discriminating pet. All boarders receive individual attention from our caring staff. Cats are allowed an exercise time each morning in our cat room. The dogs are walked twice a day with "Biscuit Time" after the afternoon stroll. All pets must be current on all vaccinations, and treated for fleas/ticks, to stay with us. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. We also understand that some owners may need "after-hour" pet pick-ups. In response to owners requests, pets may now be picked up Saturday or Sunday at 9:00 AM or 4:00 PM, with prior arrangement, for an additional $8.00 service charge. Payment for all charges must be made in advance. Call the clinic for more information about this wonderful service.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard, and on your pet.

Delivery Service:  We have also added another service to make life easier for our clients. We can deliver pet food and medications to clients living within a 10 mile radius for a small delivery fee of $5. Let us deliver your pet food and bring it inside for you. Now that is service!  For those clients living farther away, we will be happy to mail medications or any other products needed if you can't stop by the clinic. Call to schedule your delivery.

Emergency Care:  Please call (417) 667-6081 for the cell phone number of the doctor on call.
